Boxes

Every year around December I start saving boxes knowing the kids will have to make Valentine's Day boxes. When Sophie was little I would put a lot of time and effort into getting just the right materials so her box would be really cute.
Well, now that I am older and wiser and have boys things have changed. I just wrap the boxes in foil and they can put what ever they want on their boxes. Carson and Logan wanted to make monsters, which turned out really cute and Adam did his own thing. He decided he didn't want the typical hearts on his box so he went with cockroaches. I thought this was a very bad idea and tried to talk him out of it. Well it's a good thing he didn't listen to me because he won for the best box in his class. Go figure.

  1. Foil!?! Why didn't I think of that? You're so smart. :) Cam painted his and drew on it. I guess I never knew how cute they could be. Next year we'll try harder! Have I mentioned latley that I think you're a fantastic mom? You ARE!!

  2. When I think about Valentine's Day I always think cockroaches. I especially like the way he has a couple of them coming out of the foil. The monster boxes are very Valentine's Dayish too.

  3. One more thing. In the first picture I like the way they all look very contemplative.
