Fishing

Last week our good friend Julie invited the kids and I to spend the day
with her at their lake house. Of course we went because it's like being on a mini vacation every time we go.

We spent most of the day fishing off the dock. The kids kept Julie very busy with all the bait.

The kids caught tons of fish and I finally
caught that little beauty.

It was about 100 outside so we had to take a little ice cream break.




Look at this big whopper Julie caught. She had just finished telling the kids they usually only caught sun fish and then she pulled out this big cat fish. It was very exciting to see that ugly thing.

We were pretty excited about it until Julie remembered she had to get the hook out. It was way down in there. She finally just used Roberts shake it off method.

Logan didn't have the patience to catch his own so he just posed with Julies big fish.

Sophie needed a little snack.

After a long hard day of fishing Daniel came out just in time to go out on the boat. Shocker.

Don't worry Trixie came with him.

Sophie decided to try wake surfing. It didn't work out so good but she gave it good effort.

Daniel was giving the boat a test drive. We only have to wait about another 10 years and maybe they will sell this one to us too.

Can you see that big smile on Adams face? He is doing such a great job on the wake board.

I thought I would give it a try since the kids were doing such a good job. As you can see I should have stayed in the boat.

We had to come back because it was getting so dark out.

Julie pretty much lets the kids do any thing they want. Adam took advantage of this and drove the 4 wheeler all over. He was helpful hauling all the stuff from the boat back up to the house.

Thanks for a perfect summer day Julie. It was a great day we will always remember.
