Venice

We got to Venice in the evening and checked into our lovely hotel.

We were all starving so decided to walk around until we found a place to eat. It didn't take long. There is a little cafe on every corner with pizza and pasta.

We also found this cool mask store. I guess Venice is famous for their masks. Who knew.

This was a phone booth in our hotel. It looks like it should be in Daniels mom's house.

One of the many, many bridges we walked over.

I wish this picture was better. This is Saint Marks Square. The building in back of me is a basilica and the one next to me is The Doge's Palace.

We took a water taxi over to the island of Murano.

Cliff and I in Murano.

More Murano.

Lunch. All of the soda cans are long and skinny. Weird.

Daniel liked this door knocker.

There are tons of little alleys all over Venice. They are super narrow and like a big maze.

Another bridge.

This was our gondolier (is that a word?). They are all over but Melanee and I picked him because he was the best looking.

It's a good thing we did so much walking because there is gelito places everywhere and we stopped at all of them.

Another crazy mask store.

Daniel and Cliff trying to figure out where we were.

Daniel ordered the pizza and chips. This is what he got. It was pretty good.

Best hot chocolate ever! Just look how pretty it was. They bring it in the little pitcher and then pour it in your pretty cup. It was super thick and super yummy.

Sitting outside in Saint Marks Square, listening to a band, drinking hot chocolate in Venice. Can it get any better.

Time to leave again.
