Verona

After we left Venice we took the train to Verona where we rented this lovely car for the rest of the trip. Daniel HATED this car and was lucky enough to get to drive the whole time.

After we got situated in our hotel we decided we were pretty much in the ghetto and were really glad we were only there for one night. We did walk over to this cool castle on our way to dinner. There was no place to go in but it was still fun to see.

Another picture from the castle bridge.

I guess the big claim to fame in Verona is that it's the home of Romeo and Juliet so of course we had to go see where they lived. If you saw the movie Letters to Juliet you will recognize this statue from the movie. I was excited to see the wall with all the letters people had written but that was just for the movie. Now you can email Juliet your letter from inside her home which you can tour. Lame!

This was a plaza downtown where we did a little shopping and had the best fruit ever.

  1. I would have been excited to see that wall too! I think you should have written a letter and crammed it in some wall anyway. This post has not been here since May 17.
