Camping

Friday night was our ward camp out. Our kids look forward to this every year so it's really hard to say no. This year I might have been able to since it was 95 outside. Of course we went and Daniel took the boat.

We always cook hot dogs to keep things simple.

Carson was very excited to find this old fish bone. We didn't bring it home even though he wanted to.

My job was to keep all kids out of the fire.

After dinner Daniel took the kids down to the lake. It's very sad how low the water is. Usually it is up past those green plants.

Thanks for this table dad. I didn't know it had little seats with it. The kids thought it was very cool.

Alison brought along cards so while Dan took the tent down we played. What a great plan that was.

After all the camping stuff was put away we went out on the boat for the first time this year. I forgot my suit because I was trying to remember everything else. That turned out to be just fine because the water was a little cool for me.

Last summer we found this cliff to jump off of. This summer it seemed a little higher because the water was so low. Adam had a little trouble talking himself into jumping off.

But he did it. What good form.

Of course Trixie was with us. She loves the boat. What a good dog.

  1. we were at costco a few weeks ago and they had all their camping gear out. burke wanted to buy a grill, tend and all the camping gear. we bought water bottles instead, and that satisfied his need. i was glad.

  2. Your camp looks really fun, but 95 degrees seems a bit warm. I really, really think that everyone should come to our ward camp this summer. The water is never low.
