The Spa

Last December for our anniversary Daniel gave me a gift certificate to go with a friend to the Lake Austin Spa. I hadn't used it yet so Daniel thought this would be a great time to use it and had Mindy set it all up. She choose for each to get a 90 minute massage. We were very excited to go because it's supposed to be very fancy. Don't we look excited!

They give you these lovely robes and flip flops to change into. These are our lockers.

Sorry no pictures of the actual massage but it was wonderful. The tables were heated and the music was some lovely gongs. It did start of a little shaky because Mindy's girl must have had a cold because she kept sniffing. It must have cleared up because she did get better.

After the massage we walked down to the lake for a little sun. The weather couldn't have been better. It was about 80 with a little breeze. Ahhhh

The highlight of the day was when Mindy spotted some hammocks and decided to try one out. She obviously didn't know there is some skill needed to get into one of these things especially when you don't have anything on under your robe. I got quite an eye full when her legs went straight up and out along with her robe.

When we first got there a lady showed us around and told us after the massage we could set outside and enjoy complementary crackers and fruit with a beverage. We were really looking forward to this because free is good. Well this is what we found. This lovely package of crackers and an apple. Lame. We both totally ate them.

I decided to stop and smell the roses before we headed back to the real world.
On a side note. Did you know a 90 minute massage will make you have to go to the bathroom about every 2 minutes? Well it does. I guess we both had a lot of toxins to get out.

  2. I did this once at a spa with Lori. It was really great. Mindy probably did the hammock thing on purpose.
